The Premier Dance Studio

This is the RAD regulation uniform and must be worn. 

GIRLS:

PRE-SCHOOL, PRE-PRIMARY, PRIMARY

'Chloe' pale blue leotard (Freed) Pale blue spotted skirt (Freed) Polycotton matching wrap cardigan. Ballet socks and satin ballet shoes with elastics.

GRADE 1-2

'Aimee' lavender leotard with belt (Freed) Polycotton matching wrap cardigan. Ballet socks and satin ballet shoes with elastics.

GRADE 3-MAJORS

Plain navy leotard with bra-shelf, comes with belt (Bloch) Seamless pink ballet tights. Satin ballet shoes with ribbons. 

Please note that hair must  be worn in a bun with a matching scrunchie. Children with fringes or bob length hair must use a matching head band to keep hair off of the face. No jewellery.

BOYS:

PRE-PRIMARY - GRADE 2

'Aaron' white leotard (Freed) Polycotton lycra navy shorts. White boys ballet socks and white canvas or leather ballet shoes.

GRADE 3-MAJORS

'Aaron' white leotard (Freed) Polycotton lycra navy tights. White boys 3/4 length ballet socks and white canvas or leather ballet shoes for under Grade 3. 

This is the regulation uniform and must be worn in exams.

CHARACTER SKIRTS & SHOES

This item is not on our essential uniform list, however, it will be required for exams. Our ballet teacher will advise you should you need to get one.

Character skirts made to measure by Gwen Walker. Measurements to be taken by Sharon order to be made directly with Gwen Walker on 01252 377867. Costs £25 payable to Gwen Walker.

This uniform must be worn weekly. Girls, hair must be tied up and off the face with a scrunchie matching the colour of leotard.

GIRLS:

PRIMARY CLASS EXAMINATION - GRADE 4

Catsuit two tone black & red, Bare feet, no socks permitted.

GRADE 4 - MAJORS

Catsuit Black, Bare feet, no socks permitted.

No extra t-shirts, tops or trousers!     

TAP 

Uniform is as above with black socks to be worn with tap shoes.

BOYS:

MODERN & TAP PRIMARY - GRADE 2

Plain black t-shirt and shorts. Black socks for tap.

GRADE 3-MAJORS

Plain black t-shirt with black dance trousers or 3/4 lengths. Black socks for tap. 

 

CLASSIFICATION OF TAP SHOES

PRE-PRIMARY - PRIMARY

Girls, black PU or leather two tie tap shoe with standard toe tap. Boys, Freed PU tap shoe. 

GRADE 1

Girls, black PU or leather two tie tap shoe with teletone toe tap & horse shoe heel tap. Boys, Freed PU tap shoe. 

GRADE 2

Girls, black PU or leather two tie tap shoe with teletone toe tap & teletone heel tap. Boys, Freed PU tap shoe. 

GRADE 3 - MAJORS

Black Bloch jazz tap shoes.

DISCO, JAZZ, CONTEMPORARY, FREE TAP, FESTIVAL & MUSICAL THEATRE

Our non syllabus classes do not have a set uniform, however we do ask that acceptable dance wear is worn. Hair must be worn off the face and no jewellery is permitted.

OTHER ITEMS

Some students attend many classes and may need the following in their dance bag:

• All children must have a drink preferably water
• Hand towel
• All of their dance shoes for every lesson
• Plasters for girls on pointe
• Deoderant
• Spare hair bands
• Pen and paper for notes (older students) 

UNIFORM STOCKIST

We supply most uniform ourselves, however items that we don't hold in stock can be purchased from Fame in Wokingham or Flashdance in Northcamp.

Premier Dance Studio, T-shirts are availabe to purchase to wear for Drama, Musical Theatre or in dance classes for warm up.

These are available to purchase from the school secretary 'Sharon'. We keep a stock of sizes but if we don't have your size we can order.

Black hooded full zip sweat shirt with 'Premier' logo on the front and 'Dance Company' on the back.

Sizes: 5-6yrs / 7-8yrs / 9-11yrs / 12-13yrs / Adult small, medium, large & extra-large.
