Based in Yateley, Hampshire, The Premier Dance Studio was established in 1997 by Hayley Wright and Jacqueline Eade. The school has 270 students with ages ranging from 1 and a half through to adult and teaches every aspect of Dance and the Performing Arts. Starting off with the dream of running a school in ’97 it has grown to sizeable proportions and is proud of many successes; many students have performed in professional pantomime at many locations over the years, all students take part in the schools bi-annual production and they continue to enter four dance festival competitions a year, qualifying them to go through to the ‘All England’ regional dance finals.
In 2004 twenty-five students performed live on a West End Stage at ‘Her Majesty’s Theatre’ with two dance and two vocal numbers. As well as all this they still work hard each year on their I.S.T.D. and R.A.D. graded and vocational examinations in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz and Disco Dancing and this is reflected in their 100% success rate. The school now boasts many dedicated teachers as well as Hayley and Jackie who all strive hard to maintain the high standard; Kathryn Barlow (Dance) Kelly Sims (Dance & Musical Theatre) Emma Palmer (Dance) Jenny Cartwright (Latin & Ballroom) Cerys Vaughn (Hip-Hop) and Sheren Ward (Latinmix & Burlesque) as well as student teachers who are working towards their teaching qualifications.
